Paramedics treated the rider, a man believed to be aged in his 40s, but he died at the scene. It is unclear why police had tried to stop him.
Investigations into the man’s death are ongoing, while parts of Allen Street remain closed as officers examine the scene.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
The rider’s death came hours after a 57-year-old man was killed and the one-year-old child he was carrying was left in a critical condition after a car allegedly hit him in Mount Druitt.
Around 7.45pm on Thursday, police were called to Carlisle Avenue, where they found the man suffering life-threatening injuries. NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him, but he died at the scene.
A short time later, a man, believed to be the one-year-old’s father, took the child to Mount Druitt Hospital. The child was transferred to Westmead Children’s Hospital, where they remain, in a critical condition, police said.
The driver of the car, a 37-year-old woman, was taken to Mount Druitt Hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing and is assisting police with inquiries into the 57-year-old man’s death.
