The winning run of Warwick Farm trainer Bjorn Baker is poised to continue at Nowra on Sunday with the form stable having four chances engaged.

A winning treble at Canterbury on Friday night was followed by wins by Point And Shoot, Shezanalister and Highlight at Randwick on Saturday for the Baker team, and he will be out to maintain the momentum when Jamacri lines up in the Sutho Old Boys Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400m) with Ashley Morgan taking the ride.

Jamacri had finished third on debut at Nowra in October 2023, then ran fourth at Wellington last April before having another spell. She resumed at Port Macquarie last month and broke her maiden in decisive style.

“She’s a nice mare that’s heading in the right direction,” said Baker.

“She was primed to run well when resuming and Anna Roper took her straight to the front, and she was never in danger of losing.

“She’s pleased us since then and I’m hoping she can go on with the job on Sunday.”

Baker will have Soho Artist lining up in the Wobbegongs WSC CJB Benchmark 58 Handicap (1100m) with Olivia Chambers in the saddle.

A three-year-old filly by Trapeze Artist, Soho Artist started as a $1.35 favourite when resuming from a spell with a victory at Queanbeyan.

“It was a good win and a good confidence builder for her,” Baker said.
