Moments Pope Francis visited the US, Mexico and Canada

Pope Francis visited the US, Mexico and Canada on different occasions before his death at the age of 88.

During his trip to the US in 2015, he became the first pontiff to address a joint session to Congress. In a trip to Canada in 2022, the Pope delivered a formal apology for the Catholic Church’s role in the Indian residential school system.

Pope Francis died of a stroke and subsequent irreversible hearth failure on Monday.
