What protests are takling place in London this weekend and is PSC marching?
The Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) is set to hold a National Day of Demonstrations on Saturday, with action taking place in and around London.
The group has already held many events in the capital to call for more action to be taken by the UK government over the situation in Gaza.
Saturday’s protests will be one of the first times that the rallies will extend to other parts of the country.
“Join an action for Palestine in your local community on 12 April to demand our government immediately stop arming Israel and pressure Israel to end its genocide against Palestinians.”
Rather than a big rally in central London, as has been the case in previous weeks, the PSC has organised nine smaller events but in different boroughs.
It is expected that those involved will gather to protest but may not march through streets.
As well as in London, there will also be protests taking place in towns and cities including Birmingham, Ipswich, Leicester, Peterborough and Tunbridge Wells.
The Metropolitan Police has not commented on these latest events but has previously provided officers to restore order on London’s streets.
