As far as I’m concerned, the public service should be back to work in the office five days a week. Enough of the constant whining from employees. You worked in the office all week before COVID and paid for parking, gas and child care before COVID. To my understanding, working from home was only a temporary measure.

If you don’t like having to be accountable for your work day, then perhaps you need to find employment elsewhere.

It’s hard to have pity for this spoiled group, especially since the rest of country has basically been back to the workplace for about two years now. Don’t complain about your commute as you made the decision to move and don’t complain about child care because you shouldn’t have got rid of it. Taxpayers are expecting you to work.

I have a suggestion: If you want to work from home, then take a 20 per cent pay cut, seeing as you currently get to save hundreds of dollars per month not paying for those expenses that others still have to shell out for.

Do you think that Jessica Yang’s commute is longer because she moved further away and not because there are more people on the road? I do.

Public servants were told remote working was temporary during the pandemic. It’s their fault they sold their homes and moved to remote areas or different cities and now have to commute.

They made their bed, now they must lie in it.

QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY

Minister Patty Hajdu defiantly stands up in the House of Commons to lambast the Conservatives because they have fewer women than the Liberals.

Watching committees and the House of Commons proceedings (if you can stomach them), it is obvious to me that the performance of most of the Liberal women in their jobs is pretty pathetic. Hajdu is just one example.

It is clear to me that the women on the Conservative side are much more capable and competent. So the actual number means nothing. Quality beats quantity.
